Wayne Morris

A childhood living by a dump kicked off an enthusiasm for collecting ‘interesting objects’ much to my parents chagrin! That collection turned into art in my 20’s. My first exhibition in 1981 as a founding member of the Taranaki Artist Co-op (TACO) featured works assembled from found and recycled materials. This art form is called ‘found art’ or ‘art from found materials’. The term describes art created from the undisguised, but often modified, use of objects, that are not normally considered art. Since 1981 I have been part of many exhibitions and have works in collections in New Zealand and internationally. Come see new works at my home ‘Art Shed’ and gallery.
