Since last year's Arts Trail I have been focusing on collage as an art form. Through this medium I am able to express my thoughts and ideas more clearly and effectively than I could with paint. Inspiration comes from objects I find - in my garden, in second-hand shops, on the beach - and frequently from what's happening in the world around me. My work is usually multi-layered – you might find something pleasing to look at, but keep looking and you might discover a deeper meaning, a thought-provoking message. This deliberate ambiguity, where you can create your own story, is my invitation to interact with the work and make it yours.
